Hi Country Friends,

Lots of new and exciting happenings at THE CINNAMON STICK - I have fallen in love with the Altered Art presentations....cards, tags, assembleges and all the embellishments that go with them! (Brand new "vocabulary" for me!!) Brenda Bobbin has been making some of this "art form" for the store the past two years...memory boxes - the vintage bottles and post cards. I am caught - hook, line and sinker! We are learning as much as we can about this art form and are going to have "classes" in the "workroom" (new name for attic) at the store. We hope you will join us in creating unique projects and having some real creative fun. Watch for more news in our store emails.

Hope your summer is going well...I am thinking fall and Halloween - and we have wonderful happenings in the fall too. Our "HARVEST THYME" open house begins Wednesday, September 3rd AND great news....renowned folkartist "BARBARA YOUNG" of "TURKEY HOLLOW AMERICAN FOLKART" will be joining us again this year -Saturday, September 27th- for a personal signing of her wonderful handmade fall and Halloween treasures. We are so excited....

AND...how much fun is this news...We are going to have an article about THE CINNAMON STICK in the special Christmas issue of "CREATE & DECORATE" Magazine - this issue is to be on the newsstands September 16th.
